The region is home to several famous places that appeal to both nature lovers and cycling enthusiasts. A brief exploration:

1. Kluisbos:

An oasis of peace and nature in the Flemish Ardennes, loved by hikers and mountainbikers.

2. Banhout Forest:

A historically steeped forest with both ecological and cultural significance.

3. Paterberg:

An iconic hill with a steep gradient of average 13%, a challenge for cyclists and mountainbikers, with breathtaking views over a length of approximately 400 meters.

4. Tiegemberg:

Rolling landscapes and scenic vistas epitomize rural charm. (Slope: Average 5%, Length: 800 meters)

5. Scheldt Valley:

A unique ecosystem along the majestic Scheldt, a paradise for nature lovers.

6. Oude Kwaremont:

A must-see for cyclists and history buffs, known for its cobblestones and historic appearance. (Grade: Average 4%, Length: 2,200 meters)
