Liège-Bastogne-Liège, alias La Doyenne, a classic since 1892, marks the end of the spring classics and is a UCI World Tour event. The race starts in Liège, reaches Bastogne and returns to Liège, with challenging climbs and changing finish locations over the years.

Triumph of Belgium and Eddy Merckx Legacy

Belgian riders dominate the men's podium, led by Eddy Merckx with five wins. Remco Evenepoel was victorious in 2023. Belgium leads the country rankings, followed by Italy and Switzerland.

Women's competition and Ardennes Triptych

Since 2017, Liège-Bastogne-Liège has had a women's edition on the same day. The course, similar to that of the men, is part of the Ardennes triptych for women with Amstel Gold Race and Flèche Wallonne. In 2023, Demi Vollering triumphed after Anna van der Breggen in the first edition.
