Paris – Nice cycling tour classic

Paris-Nice, a spring stage race since 1933, has been part of the UCI World Tour since 2011. The race evolved from previous designations and has well-known winners, including Eddy Merckx and Sean Kelly. The ride to the sun is considered preparation for the spring classics, ending on the Promenade des Anglais in Nice.
The race underwent some organizational changes and has been part of the UCI ProTour since 2005. With tragic events in 2003, which led to the mandatory helmet rule, Paris-Nice remains an important race in cycling.
